The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a worldwide Catholic lay organization devoted to spiritual growth, fellowship, and service. At St. Joseph, Vincentians serve those who are poor, vulnerable, or in crisis—offering practical help in a spirit of dignity, respect, and Christian love.

To encounter Christ in the poor and suffering, and to serve each person with compassion and justice—upholding their God-given dignity while meeting urgent needs and fostering hope.
How We Serve

Home food delivery from our parish pantry

Financial assistance and resource referrals

Service at the downtown SVdP campus (warehouse, kitchen, clinic, shelters)

Support at SVdP thrift stores throughout the city
Get Involved & Training

New Vincentians complete two 8-hour training sessions (typically weekends)

Ongoing spiritual formation, mentorship, and team support help you serve confidently and compassionately
Time Commitment

Meetings: 2nd & 4th Tuesdays, 6:30–7:45 p.m.

Food delivery: About 3–4 hours, one day every 3–4 weeks (rotating schedule)
