1st-6th Grade Faith Formation

St. Joseph’s 1st-6th Grade Faith Formation program seeks to aid parents in forming their children in the Catholic Faith, so that they may know, love, and live the Truth found in Jesus Christ. We recognize that our parents have the most significant role in establishing the foundation of a child’s spiritual development, our mission is to assist and support our parent’s efforts in their child’s faith formation at home, in the classroom and in the parish.

We offer our 1st-6th grade classes on Sundays from 9:00-10:15 AM. In addition, we offer Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW). Dismissal is during the 10:30 mass, after the introductory rites. The children return to the mass before the Liturgy of the Eucharist. The 3rd Sunday of the month is Family Mass. Children participate during Mass by lectoring, bringing up the gifts, and ushering. If your child would like to participate, please contact the office. 

Special Education Catechesis

St. Joseph welcomes all children into the catechetical program. Catechetical instruction including sacrament preparation is made accessible to children with disabilities by providing appropriate accommodations. 

Possible Accommodations:

• Support and strategies for a child in a regular catechetical class.
• An additional classroom aide for a student in a regular catechetical class (can be a relative, a child's respite, provider, or a volunteer parishioner).
