Pastoral Care Ministers bring Holy Communion to parish members who are homebound, in a hospital or care center.

MINISTRY NAME:  Pastoral Care-Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

DESCRIPTION:  Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who carry the Eucharist to our beloved parishioners who are homebound, in nursing facilities, care homes and hospitals by assisting the Parish and Priest in meeting their spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the Body of Christ. Be the liaison between the individual and the parish.

MISSION/VISION: Through Baptism each of us is called to a life of faith and service to the people of God. As Pastoral Care volunteers for St. Joseph's Parish we service the homebound, elderly, sick, and disabled. To those we visit the healing presence of Christ is manifested in the Eucharist. In answering our Baptismal call to service, we devote ourselves to lives of prayer, assistance, service and regard for the people of God.


 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Visit the homebound at their homes or in Care Centers

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Visit the homebound at their homes, Care Centers, Nursing Homes or Hospital.

TRAINING:  Pastoral Care procedures, approximately one hour duration.  

TRAINING: Pastoral Care procedures as established by the Diocese of Phoenix and the Parish. Approximately 1 hour.

 TIME COMMITMENT:  Weekly visits
