"Creating Peace Within" presented by Ed Ford. What is important? How do our choices affect our lives? How can our faith translate into the Peace we hear so much about? Join us as Catholic layman and author Ed Ford shares with us his suggestions on how we can better use God's gifts to allow Him to give us the Peace within us we all seek. ___________________________________________________________ ***Potluck 6pm*** Oct 16th ***Potluck 6pm***
"Anglicanorum Coetibus" presented by Fr. Oliver Vietor. This probably sounds like another long Vatican document we often hear about, but probably don't know a lot about. Issued in November 2009, it's actually one of the most important ecumenical statements of our time. It creates a canonical structure for groups of Anglicans (Episcopalians in the US) to join the Catholic Church and yet retain much of their Anglican heritage. Join us as Fr. Vietor, a former Episcopal minister who was recently ordained a Catholic priest, shares his thoughts on what could be the best path for Anglican/Catholic reunion in nearly 500 years, how it can strengthen both groups, and how it could lead to similar outreach to other Protestant denominations.

"The Genealogy of Jesus Christ" presented by Phil Ondrei. The first chapter of the Gospel of St. Matthew is, well, odd. It consists entirely of a lengthy narrative of the ancestry of Jesus all the way back to Abraham. What was the point? No other Gospel writer does this. Join us on the cusp of Advent and Christmas as Catholic layman Phil Ondrei explores the genealogy of Jesus as presented by St. Matthew and why it is important for us to understand what this particular Gospel passage conveys to us.

"Our Lady of Guadalupe – Mother of Hope" a video presentation by Dan Lynch. It's December and that means not just Christmas, but also the celebration of of our Diocesan Patroness, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and her appearance to St Juan Diego in Mexico in 1521. Join us for dinner and a movie as we explore this extraordinary event in the life of the Church in the Americas and why it still has so much meaning after 500 years.
