Madonna House Apostolate is a Catholic community of consecrated men, women, and priests - a family within the Roman Catholic Church - dedicated to loving and serving Christ in all aspects of everyday life. The main training/retreat center is in Combermere, Canada. with field houses and mission houses in Canada, the U.S.A., England, France, Belgium, Africa, Brazil, and Russia, each with a mandate from the local Bishop. Some serve the needs of the surrounding community, others serve as ‘listening houses’ and houses of prayer. There are more than 130 priests, deacons, Bishops, Archbishops who are Madonna House associates. The simple life of Nazareth that the founder Catherine Doherty (whose case is open for canonization) envisioned has many facets. Kathy McVady will talk about the consecrated lay life, and the history and spirituality of Madonna House.
